Dr. A. Gary Goodman

Below, we’ve included a detailed bio of Dr. Gary’s educational background and his interests outside of the practice. The easier it is to build long-lasting relationship with our dentists, the more comfortable you’ll be during your future appointments. He can’t wait to make your acquaintance!

My Educational Background

Dr. Gary Goodman has been offering dental patients in the Annapolis area exceptional dentistry services and care since 1981. With his amazing dental team, he’s proudly served several generations of families and loves mentoring his son, Dr. Jeremy. We treat every patient like family at Goodman Dental Care. Dr. Gary first earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Soon after, he was accepted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, a prestigious group that recognizes dental students in the top 10 percent of their class. Dr. Gary eventually went on to complete a general practice residency with the U.S. Public Health Service in Boston, MA following his dental studies.

My Continuing Dental Education

Dr. Goodman has continued to participate in continuing education and has proven his dedication to lifelong learning. This includes seminars, practicums, and courses at the Pankey Institute, Spear Study Club, Seattle Study Club and Chesapeake Implant Study Club, a mini residency in the implant prosthetics, the Zimmer Institute, advanced training in endodontics at Boston University, and the E4D University for digital dentistry. Along with staying on top of the latest dental techniques and technologies as a participant in the Seattle Study Club and the Chesapeake Implant Study Club, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland Dental Association, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He also serves as a clinical instructor for the University of Maryland advanced general dentistry residency as mentoring young dentists is one of his passions.

My Life Outside of the Practice

When he’s not working, Dr. Gary enjoys spending time with his wife, five children, and many grandchildren. In his spare time, you’ll find him skiing, kayaking, and playing the five-string banjo.
